Douala-Kumba
Departure Douala via de tea plantations in Buea and the banana, rubber, and pineapple plantations to Kumba. Visit to rubber plantation, see how the rubber is won and give it a try yourself.Check in hotel and dinner with Cameroonian family (Bridget) at home.Overnight hotel Kumba
Kumba-Lake Barombi
After breakfast with Bridget, departure to the crater lake of Barombi. Cross the lake in a piroque and visit to the chief and the small village at the other side of the lake. Walk back through the dense forest along the lake, see birds and tropical vegetation. Pic nic lunch near the lake.In the afternoon Bridget takes you to do shopping at the market.Dinner with Bridget and overnight in hotel
Kumba-Bangem
After breakfast at Bridgets, via dirt road to Bangem, high in the Bakossi Mountains. Check in small hotel in Bangem Afternoon trek to the Manengouba twin crater lakes, here you might see the endemic Picathartes bird.Dinner and overnight hotel Bangem
Bangem - Baham
Via Melong we travel to Baham. Here we pay a visit to the local chief of Baham and sleep in his palace.Tour of the palace and environment. Visit to the phantom cave.Overnight in the palace of Baham
Baham-Bandjoun-Foumban
After breakfast departure to Bandjoun where we visit the famous chefferie of Bandjoun and the museum (Unesco heritage). We continue our way to the islamic Foumban. Visit to the palace of the sultan and the museum. (if this day is a Friday we might see the sultan giving audience to his people, a colourful happening with music and traditional dress.).Look around at the artisinans street. Overnight in, a guesthouse run by a Dutch lady.
Foumban-Bamenda
Early departure to Awing near Bamenda. Afternoon dancing workshop where pax learn a traditional dance and where they can play African musical instruments.Overnight with the nuns of the spiritual center Laverna in Bamenda or in hotel.
Bamenda-Mbingo-Belo
After breakfast on our way to the beautiful mountains near Mbingo and Belo situated on the small Ring Road.We overnight in tents at the Zwinkels Trekkers Camp. Afternoon trek to Lake Oku.or horse riding with the Fulani’s (optional)In the evening we meet with the villagers around a campfire and listen to their stories while roasting corn cobs. overnight at the trekkers Camp.
Mbingo/Belo
We stay another day in these stunning mountains and enjoy the life of the villagers.Today you can choose between horse riding, trekking, or relaxing or you can fetch water with the village kids, pound FuFu corn and cook with the women or do other social activities. For non-trekkers an excursion can be arranged to the palace of Kom. Overnight at the trekkers Camp.
Belo-Bafut-Bamenda
After breakfast return to Bamenda. Visit to the big market or the Mankon Museum (optional).After lunch departure to BafutVisit to the chefferie (Unesco world heritage monument) guided tour by one of the queens and watch traditional JuJu mask dances. Visit to the handicapped center of Sajocah, sponsored by the Liliane Fund. Dutch doctors operate here regularly. Overnight in hotel in Bamenda
Bamenda-Douala-Limbe
Early start and long travelling day with stops on the way. Pic nic lunch at Ekom waterfallsOvernight in hotel at the beach
Limbe-Douala-Kribi
Visit to the fishing village and smokeries. Wild life Center Limbe. Afternoon departure to Kribi..Overnight in Hotel Kribi
Kribi
Departure by piroque to 2nd Pygmy village. Welcome by Pygmies. Build your own grass hut under supervision of Pygmies. Experience the daily Pygmy life and go hunting or fishing with them. Go with them to the farm lands or help them with cooking the evening meal. Overnight with the Pygmies.
Kribi
After breakfast return by piroque to Kribi. Eat fresh shrimps at the beach for lunch and see the Lobe waterfalls. If required, a half day trip can be organised to go sea fishing with the local fishermen. Overnight in hotel in KribiOvernight in Hotel Kribi
