Day 1: Arrival at the Douala airport

Welcome and reception by your tour guide of Zwinkels Tours Cameroon. Drive to hotel by taxi, Check into hotel, Foyer du Marine. Dinner and overnight

Day 2: Douala - Limbe

Breakfast and departure by taxi to Amour Mezam bus station. Board a bus to Limbe and drive along banana, rubber, and palm plantations. After one hour drive, arrival at the Limbe Mile Four Bus Station. Board a taxi to Seme New beach hotel 30mins drive from the Mile Four Bus Station. Arrival at the hotel and check in. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the black sanded beach and the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 3: Limbe

Breakfast in the hotel, departure by taxi to Limbe town. Visit to the famous Botanical Garden and the Wildlife Centre where you will see some species of monkeys like Gorilla and Chimpansee. Take a taxi to the fishing village and watch how fish is being smoked and sold. See fishing boats arriving with fresh fish and men and women hurrying to buy the fish for their meal at home or to be sold in their small business. Lunch in town. Return by taxi to Seme New Beach Hotel for a swim or relaxing at the beach. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 4: Limbe - Kumba

Breakfast and departure by taxi to the Mile Four Bus Station and board a bus for Kumba. Drive through Mutengene, Buea, Muyuka and other small beautiful villages along the very good tarred road. Arrival at Kumba and check in hotel Elongo Gardens. Lunch. Drive by taxi to the gate of lake Barombi and walk to the lake. Go by pirogue or walk to the Barombi village and visit the small village. Return by pirogue to the lake shore and return by taxi to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 5: Kumba - Bandjoun

Breakfast in hotel Elongo gardens, departure by taxi to the Fiango Motor Park. Board a bus for Bafoussam. On the way the bus will drop you in Bandjoun. Drive through the South West Province into the Western Province where you traditional houses with pointed roofs can be seen. Arrival in Bandjoun and check in hotel Centre Climatique de Bandjoun for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Bandjoun - Foumban

Breakfast and departure for the village of Bandjoun. Here take a taxi or motor bike to Bandjoun Chefferie, which is one of the biggest Bamileke kingdoms of the Western Highlands. Visit the Museum of Bandjoun and listen to stories of the origin of this kingdom. View the huge traditional hut that was burnt in 2000 in a criminal fire act. After this visit, take a motor bike to Centre Climatique of Bandjoun to pick up the luggage.Drive by taxi from the hotel to the centre of Bafoussam where you will board a bus of Butsis Voyages or General Express to Foumban. Drive on the very good road crossing over the river Noun which is the boundary between the Noun and Mifi division. Pass through the town of Foumbot and see many gardens with tomatoes, beans or maize, cultivated by using tractors. Arrival in Foumban and check in Gite D’etape guest house. Dinner and overnight

Day 7: Foumban

Breakfast and departure by taxi to the palace of Foumban. Foumban is dominantly Islamic and ruled by a sultan. Visit the palace of the sultan and museum. Listen to the history of the 18 kings of the Bamoun dynasty, which is full of wars fought with the neighboring villages during Islamic raids. Visit to the Foumban colorful market and buy some traditional fabric. Lunch in town. Visit to the artisanal street and buy Bamoun crafts. The best souvenirs can be found here. Return by taxi to the guest house for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Foumban-Bafoussam-Bamenda

Breakfast and departure to Butsis Voyage or General Express, board a bus for Bafoussam, arrival in Bafoussam and change buses at Jeanot Express to Bamenda. Drive through Mbouda, a small town in the Western Province and Santa, which is the boundary village of the North West and Western Province. Santa is also known for the food crops that are cultivated there. View gardens with cabbage, potatoes, beans and spices as you drive along. Arrival in Bamenda. By taxi to Zwinkels Guest House. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Bamenda

Breakfast and departure by taxi to Bafut. Pass through the Commercial Avenue of Bamenda which is where all commercial activities are centered. Drive through Ntarikon and arrive in Bafut. Bafut is one of the biggest Tikar chiefdoms in the North West Region. See the six hundred year old "Talking Drum", visit the museum and palace and watch the traditional masked Juju dances. Drive back to Bamenda centre for lunch in a nice restaurant at Commercial Avenue. After lunch visit the colorful and busy main market which is just a few metres away. Take a taxi to Nkwen and visit the Handicraft Centre where handicrafts from the North West Region are sold. By taxi to the Zwinkels Guest House for some leisure tome in the garden Dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Bamenda - Belo

Breakfast and departure by taxi to the Mile Four Motor Park to board a public bus or taxi. Drive through the beautiful hills and cross small rivers running beneath the bridges. Pass through Mbingo village and get an overview of the Mbingo Baptist hospital that exists already for 50 years. Arrival in Belo in the village of Kom. Go by motor bike to the Zwinkels Trekkers Camp in the Aboh mountains. Dinner and overnight in the Camp.

Day 11: Belo

Early breakfast in the Camp site. Departure for the optional 8 hrs trek to Lake Oku, which is a lake sacred to the Oku community which believes that their ancestors reside in there. Annually the Oku villagers, together with their Chief, go to the lake shores to make sacrifices to the gods. Another option is to go on a 4 hours cultural walking tour to discover the beautiful village of Aboh with its welcoming and happy people. Discover their daily life and activities. Picnic lunch on the way and return to the Camp. In the evening watch a traditional dance of the Kom people performed by the women. Dinner, sundowner around a campfire and overnight.

Belo Trekkers Camp

Day 12: Belo - Ndawara

Breakfast in the Trekkers camp. By motor bike to Belo, take a hired car from Belo along the Ring Road to the Ndawara tea plantation. View vast hilly plantations of tea here and visit the production factory where you can see how tea is being processed from harvesting to parceling for sale and local consumption. View the birds, like ostriches, ducks and fowls that are being reared for sale. Drive to the Babungo palace, visit the palace and museum. Babungo is one of the biggest kingdoms in the Ndop plain and famous for its rich museum. Picnic lunch on a nice spot and onwards to the Presspot pottery in Bamessing. Watch the process from freshly dug clay to production of articles for sale and export. Return on the Ring Road through Sabga, Bambui and Belo to the trekkers camp. Dinner and overnight.

Ndwara Tea Estate

Day 13: Belo - Bamenda

Breakfast and departure by motor bike to Belo. Board a public bus to Bamenda. Arrival in Bamenda at the Mile Four Motor Park and take a township taxi to the Zwinkels Guest House. Lunch and visit to the Mankon palace and museum. Listen to the stories of their ancestral lineage, view the traditional art and craft of the Mankon kingdom. Take a taxi back to Bamenda and to the Zwinkels House, rest of the evening at leisure in the garden, dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Bamenda - Douala

Breakfast and departure by taxi to Amour Mezam bus station at Mile Two. Board a bus for Douala, which takes off at 9 or 10 am. On the way the bus will stop at Melong for lunch for about 15mins. Arrival in Douala by 4pm. Take a township taxi to a restaurant or hotel to refresh. Dinner and departure by taxi to the airport for the departure flight.
